"love is a battlefield"

dude! this week was busy around here! but super fun...

brynn has dance on spangdahlem with ms. amy every tuesday morning and loves it! when she sees me put her tap shoes into her backpack, she goes crazy saying "tap tap. tap tap" and waits at the door as she knows that she'll be able to wear them soon. i have to calm her down once we get to class as she thinks she can run and slide in the tap shoes and always ends up falling. she definately got the klutzsy genes from me.

on thursday, i had my first ever facial at this place in speicher that is highly recommended by americans (and my good friend julie b). it was unreal! i cant believe that ive never had a facial before. sooo incredibly relaxing and so needed. the lady who worked on me spoke awesome english too so i knew what to expect with all the crazy things she did to my face. i guess they pick at your pores to "clean them up" so my face looks pretty bad at the moment. im told its supposed to look better here in a few days so we'll see about that...im getting really tired of this acne crap that i have to deal with! ohh well...

my friend valerie threw an 80's party for angie last night so steve and i got a sitter and went out. it was so fun! ive been searching for the last 2 weeks for 80's clothing (which is surprisingly easy as germans rock the mullets and wear the nastiest clothes here) and found stuff at takko, kik, and this karnivel store in wittlich. since steve has to keep his hair short for work, i just HAD to get a mullet wig for him as we couldnt do much with his hair. i about peed my pants the first time he put it on! sooo nasty! its like a mix between uncle jessie off full house and davey crockett! hahahahahaha!

i also got a wig for myself as i knew i wouldnt be able to make my hair look cool and eighties...it was pretty nasty! i found the wigs at the karnivel store (thanks valerie for inspiring me to go there!) and the workers there kept trying to talk me out of my selection! i tried to tell them it was for an eighties party and its what i was looking for, but they didnt quite understand! they kept handing me 70's attire so i assume the 80's period here in germany was different then the 80's in the states. the lady that helped me was sportin' the "lady mullet" so i can see how she wasnt thrilled with my selection! hahahaha!
